Outmeeting's 2010 - What you need to know!

Fireworks at outmeetings:

Please take note that there is no 'common' policy on the discharge of fireworks at outmeetings.  We are notified by each of the outmeeting societies of their own policies and preferences which will be relayed to members and must be respected.  Any abuse will result in an appearance before the committee to consider continuing membership.

Below you will find a list of the Outmeeting's we will be attending this year with pick up and drop off times.

04/09/2010 - Uckfield - No Coach but we will be taking a Banner

11/09/2010 - Crowborough - No Coach but we will be taking a Banner

18/09/2010 - Mayfield - Coach times: 6pm / 11pm departure

25/09/2010 - Burgess Hill - Coach times: 6.30pm / 11pm departure

02/10/2010 -  Rotherfield & Mark Cross - Coach times: 6pm / 11pm departure

16/10/2010 - Hastings - Coach times: 5pm / 11.30pm departure

16/10/2010 - Hailsham - No Coach but we will be taking a Banner

23/10/2010 -  Fletching - No Coach and we will not be taking a Banner

23/10/2010 - Nevill - No Coach but we will be taking a Banner

30/10/2010 - Littlehampton - Coach times: 5.45pm / 11.30pm departure

30/10/2010 - Newick - Coach times: 6pm / 11pm departure

30/10/2010 - South Heighton - No Coach and we will not be taking a Banner

06/11/2010 - Battel - Coach times: 5pm / 11pm departure

13/11/2010 - Rye - Coach times: 5.15pm / 11pm departure

20/11/2010 - Barcombe - No Coach but we are taking a Banner

Other Information;

If you want to book a coach for outmeetings then please contact Amanda French on 07949836644. Please note that you can only book coaches on the week preceding the the outmeeting in question.

Please also note that fireworks are not allowed in any procession whatsoever and more information on this will be sent to our members.

And of course PLEASE do not forget our STRICT dress code for Smugglers! As a reminder we will not allow rugby shirts, trainers or tracksuit bottoms! If you are found to be wearing any of these you will not be allowed on the coach or you may be asked to leave the procession.

The correct dress code for Smugglers is; A red & white hooped knitted jumper, white trousers or jeans, black or brown boots and belt over the jumper unless wearing a sash. Sash’s can only be worn by officers of the Society unless around the waist. Finally a neckerchief is what you need to finish your Smuggler. By all means jazz it up with blacked faces, pouches etc but please remember that it is still a costume and in fact one of the most recognised so lets look good!
